You don't need 85 metrics. You need 5. Then grow.

The Experiment Triangle

Every metric answers three questions:

Side Question
WHY What do we want to learn?
WHEN Are we ready to look honestly?
WHAT What is the smallest test that teaches us the most?

If one side is missing, start there.

Level 1: Pick these 5 in week 1

Category Metric Why this first Starter test

Team Health Psych safety pulse Shows if the team can be honest Ask one uncomfortable question in retro
Experimentation Experiments per cycle Shows if you are learning Run 1 small AB or usability test

Level 2: Add 5-8 of these in month 2

Level 3: Expand when ready

Go to the Metrics Universe database. Filter by category where you feel the most pain.

Pick one metric. Run one test. Have one conversation. That is enough.
